My name is Shawna and I am the owner of Sassy Chic. I am married with three beautiful kids.

 

How did Sassy Chic start? My mother-in-law owned the clothing boutique, Marlene's which was located in Encino and Westlake Village for many, many years. It was very popular and people still talk about it! When my first son Justin was born, I used to bring him to the Encino store and hang out for hours and hours, loving all that was going on. 

 

As my kids got a little older, I helped and worked in the Westlake Village store which was run by my sister-in-law, Tammy Snyder. After both stores closed due to the leases being up, I still wanted to be in the "fashion" business but still needed freedom to be with my kids. Both Marlene and Tammy showed me the ropes and helped me get started. They are great mentors and have great taste. Soon after that, I decided to get a business name and the rest is history!

 
I've really built my business. I try to get contemporary merchandise that will stay in style for quite a long time at great prices yet still stay in the current trends. I believe my customers really love my merchandise and that's why I've been able to build it so well. I do several fundraisers during the spring and fall months as well as customers contacting me to see my merchandise in between (which is always available to them!).
 
I pride myself on being honest, friendly and most importantly, I care about my customers. If they look good, I look good!
